We're Hiring- Program Manager Needed
Our firm is currently looking for an accomplished and self-motivated Program Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams designing, implementing, and maintaining our products and systems. The Program Manager will work across a variety of functional groups that are directly responsible for proposals, engineering, product development, manufacturing, and implementation. The Program Manager is a leadership role at Newton Design, encompassing the following job responsibilities:
Oversees, leads, and manages a portfolio of projects and/or programs, serving as the primary point of contact with customers and internal team members.
Builds and maintains relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal team members while maintaining effective and open communication.
Develops and executes program plans, including time-phased spend plans, schedules, and budgets, while continually assessing and adjusting plans and execution to achieve desired program outcomes and contractual obligations.
Evaluates, directs, and approves changes that substantially impact program scope, schedule, and budget.
Creates and presents program related proposals, reports, findings, plans, and projections to internal and external stakeholders.
Resolves escalated issues arising from customers, operations, and/or production.
Proposes solutions, budgets, and schedules for various projects and new business opportunities.
Provides input to company strategic decisions, including policies, standards, tools, and procedures.
The ideal candidate is a technically-adept leader and excellent communicator capable of working through multi-faceted challenges and employing practical solutions.
Competitive candidates for this position will possess:
3+ years of experience with aircraft simulation devices and government contracting; previous experience as a program manager is strongly preferred.
PMP® Certification.
Working knowledge of DoD acquisition process and systems engineering fundamentals.
Requirements for this position include:
BS in a business or technical-related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
Proficiency in common personal computer productivity software, including Microsoft Office suite of tools, is required.
Domestic and international travel may be required.
Occasional overtime, holiday, weekend, or evening work may be required.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must fluently read, write, and comprehend English.
Physical demands typical of this job include:
Must be able to occasionally lift 25lbs, alternate sitting or standing at will for 10 hours, and move about the facility.
